01Who runs the service

Using Captionwale means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
We may change these terms. By continuing to use the service after a change, you accept the updated version.

Using speech models from third parties, Captionwale transcribes videos and creates styled captions, delivered either burned into the video or as SRT files.
We provide the service on an as-is basis. How accurate a transcription is depends on the audio quality, accents and any background noise.
Check your captions every time before you publish them. We accept no responsibility for mistakes in the output.

Whatever you upload remains yours. By uploading, you give us a limited licence to process the file only for the purpose of providing the service to you.
You must have the rights to everything you upload. Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone's copyright or privacy.
We do not claim to own your videos or the captions made from them.

The free plan comes with a limited number of transcription minutes. Paid plans increase those limits, as set out on the pricing page.
Razorpay processes payments, which are charged in INR.
If a transcription fails after its minutes have been deducted from your plan, get in touch within 7 days and we will restore the minutes.
All payments are final and non-refundable. A monthly plan renews automatically unless you switch renewal off at checkout or from your account, while one-time purchases never renew. In neither case is a card stored.
Your access lasts until the paid period ends. After that, the account moves back to the free plan by itself.

You must not use the service to process illegal content, or content that breaches another person's rights.
Unless we have given written permission, do not try to reverse-engineer or scrape our API, or send automated requests to it.
Do not resell access, and do not share the login details of any account.

We bear no liability for indirect, incidental or consequential damages that arise out of the use of the service.
In any dispute, the most we can be liable for in total is the amount you paid us during the 30 days before the claim.

If an account breaks these terms, we may suspend or terminate it.
You can close your account whenever you want. Once it is closed, your data is deleted within 30 days.

The laws of India govern these terms. Every dispute is first referred to mediation in Surat. If mediation fails, exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts at Surat.
